Actor Mahesh Babu's bank accounts frozen as per the law, said Central Tax Additional Commissioner Anand Kumar. The GST officials have frozen Mahesh Babu's bank accounts for evading service tax on his renumeration. The officials issued the notice to pay tax for endorsing brands for the year 2007-08.
Mahesh has approached high court earlier after the GST issued notices to pay service tax. After the High Court gave the verdict in favour of the Income Tax department.
