AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu came down heavily against the opponents of the special status for Andhra Pradesh and said that calling his Dharma Porata Deeksha a flop show was tantamount to betraying the cause of the state.

Speaking during a teleconference with party workers, he asked as to how a meeting attended by the top leaders of 17 parties be termed a flop show. He said the BJP and the YSRCP were terming the Deeksha a flop show. He further said that all parties excluding BJP and YSRCP were for the special status.

He also termed the suicide of Srikakulam resident Arjun Rao as most unfortunate and appealed to the youth not to end lives. He said that only the party that would give special status will win the elections in AP.
