Cong will repeat victory in local body polls: Botcha

Pradesh Congress Committee president Botcha Satyanarayana said here on Sunday that the Congress would repeat the victory in the elections to the local bodies like in the elections to the cooperative societies recently.

He was here to participate in the Sri Renuka Yellamma Jatara at Patancheru. Talking to newsmen at the residence of Medak MLC V Bhupal Reddy , the PCC chief said that the Congress would come out with resounding victory in the local body elections. He recalled the victory of Congress party candidates in the recent elections to the cooperative societies. "The Congress would prove its supremacy once again," he asserted.

Responding on the disqualification of fifteen MLAs announced by Speaker Nadendla Manohar, the PCC chief said that it was the discretion of the Speaker and it was purely his own decision.

Along with the PCC chief, Deputy Chief Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha, Endowment Minister C Ramachandra Rao, Minister for Marketing Mukesh Goud and others participated in the Jatara sponsored by the MLA T Nandiswar Goud. Sizable number of people from all over the constituency attended the Jatara on Sunday.
