All parties in Telangana have ignored in their election manifesto to provide RTC concession in busfares to theTelangana senior citizens above 60 years of age whereas neighbour AP senior citizens benefited the same as AP government implemented 25 % concession in all kinds of APSRTC buses from 1st July 2016 which was pending prior to creation of Telangana state.

However, no such facilities are given to the senior citizens of Telangana state by compatriot TSRTC. In their old age Telangana senior citizens due to health conditions, are facing lot trouble, unable to meet the expenditure during the course of travel / visit by autos or private vehicles at the exorbitant rates to visit the hospitals and other personal works as they depend mostly on public transport i.e. RTC services only.

Some of the senior citizens are forced to work at their old age by travelling RTC buses from their residences to the workplaces, to eke out living due to poor economic conditions. The population of Hyderabad city has touched over 1 crore and the senior citizens needed RTC concession on bus fare daily and monthly basis cards may be at least around 1- 2 lakhs . It will be highly helpful to the needy senior citizens if implemented on par with AP senior citizens.

At least new Telangana government after election should implement 25 % RTC concession to Telangana senior citizens immediately. The senior citizens are eagerly waiting for RTC bus fare concession orders from new Telangana government to be formed after elections.
