Leaders called for concerted efforts for national integrity and unity to ensure the prosperity of the nation by drawing inspiration from Sardar Patel. During this ceremony, the BJP leader and program convener, Pushpala Srinatha Reddy called for unity among the people beyond any sort of discriminations. To project the need for unity among the people, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi has conceived the run for unity across the country.
P.V.S. Murthy grieved increasing disunity in the present society, which is the root cause of many evils like terrorism and infiltration. He alleged that in order to make India strong, several leaders sacrificed their lives , but it is due to some selfish political leaders the state of Andhra Pradesh is being divided.
From the other side, participation of youth in the Run for Unity became the cause of enthusiasm for the BJP in Adilabad. The run was a successful one. At Nizamabad, a large number of people participated in the Run for Unity rally which began at the DSA ground and concluded at Gandhi Chowk passing through Tilak Garden and Bhagat Singh Chowrasta. Of the many leaders who participated in the run, the local MLA Yendala Lakshminarayana, the T-JAC district chairman I. Gopal Sarma, the Run for Unity committee chairman Purushotham Somani and the BJP district president P. Ganga Reddy led the rally.
A large number of school and college students wearing run for unity T-shirts and caps took part in it. Before the start of the rally, all the participants massively sung the national anthem and listened to the address of the Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi in the FM Radio.
The run for unity added a stone in the crown of success at Karimnagar also. There was an overpowering response to the 2 kilometer run for unity in Karimnagar. Students participated in huge numbers in the run amid slogans “Jai Bharath Matha”, “Vandemataram”.
Retired IG of police, Gopinath Reddy flagged the run from the Arts college grounds in the town and covered a distance of 2kms. Several BJP leaders and other local organizers have also participated in the run with lots of enthusiasm.
A similar response has been received at Mahabubnagar. Despite, the adverse cold weather, people specially aged and youth turned out in large numbers to participate in the run at mahabubnagar on Sunday. The run was formally inaugurated by local BJP MLA, Yennam Srinivas Reddy by flagging off the run at Zilla Parishad grounds. Of the prominent leaders, who participated in the event, event chairman Maddi Yadireddy, co-ordinate Shanti Kumar and other leaders from V.H.P. B.J.P are prominent.
