New Delhi: Asmadullah Akhtar, the close ally of Bhatkal who is the major accused in the last year’s Dilsukhnagar bomb blast case has agreed that he was the fabricator of the bombs used in the blast.

He said after fabricating the bombs, he has even given them the instructions on how to operate the bombs. To this effect, a statement was given by Akhtar in last October. The same has been presented before the Delhi court by the officials of NIA on Wednesday. Charge sheets on Yasin Bhatkal, Akhtar and two other terrorists have been filed by the NIA.

According to the statement given by Akhtar, he prepared the bombs on receiving the instructions from Riyaz Bhatkal (stays in Pakistan) and involved in Dilsukhnagar bomb blasts. In December 2012, there was a discussion between the duo and decided to do something in Hyderabad. In the same month from Hawala Akhtar received money at Banagalore. In January 2013, the explosives have been received from Riyaz. Later, a recce was conducted at Dilsukhnagar on February 18. The suitable place for the blast was decided by Akhtar. A sample blast was also carried out at Dilsukhangar. After ascertaining that everything was Okay, Akhtar fabricated the bombs. The other accused Monu arranged the bomb at Mirchi Centre in Diluskhnagar. Akhtar said he was there with them at the time of the incident.
