Modi swears-in as India’s 15th Prime Minister

New Delhi: Rashtrapathi Bhavan for the first time ever has turned to be the place for the presence of distinguished guests from various SARC nations including the Prime Minister of neighbourhood Pakistan Nawaz Sharif, and President of Sri Lanka Mahinda Rajapaksa. In the presence of all the distinguished guests from around the world, Narendra Modi has sworn in as the 15th Prime Minister of India in the formal way followed. Pranab Mukherjee, the president of India witnessed the entire event.

The swearing-in ceremony also included the swearing-in of the 45 minister in his cabinet. Of these 45 ministers 24 have sworn-in as the Union Ministers while 11 have sworn-in as the ministers for the state. The remaining 10 ministers will hold the independent and autonomous berths.

The key factors of Narendra Modi’s cabinet are:

• More than 50% cabinet berths have been allocated to North India
• Only 6 are from south India
• As many as 7 women found place in Modi’s cabinet
• UP stood top with 12 cabinet posts
• Kerala and West Bengal not even got a single berth
• Venkaiah Naidu included in the cabinet in Karnataka quota

Over 4,000 people witnessed the ceremony at Rashtrapathi Bhavan. Of the many prominent leaders, Manmohan Singh, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Meira Kumar, Pratibha Patil, Deve Gowda et al are the prominent leaders. KCR and Naidu also attended the ceremony.

Narendra Modi has sworn-in as the Prime Minister by mentioning his name as Narendra Damodardas Modi. Modi began his swerain-in at 6.12 P.M. IST and was concluded at 6.15 P.M.
