The Karnataka government on Tuesday moved the Supreme Court against the acquittal of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister acquittal in the disproportionate assets case.This comes almost a month after the Karnataka High Court acquitted the AIADMK chief in the DA case, following which the special prosecutor in the case alleged grave mathematical error in the judgment.

Bengaluru: The Karnataka government on Tuesday moved the Supreme Court against the acquittal of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister acquittal in the disproportionate assets case.This comes almost a month after the Karnataka High Court acquitted the AIADMK chief in the DA case, following which the special prosecutor in the case alleged grave mathematical error in the judgment.


Citing mathematical errors in calculating the loss in the High Court judgment delivered by Justice C R Kumaraswamy, Karnataka has filed this appeal. After her acquittal by the Karnataka High court, Jayalalithaa has already returned as the chief minister of Tamil Nadu and is even contesting in an Assembly by-poll from RK Nagar seat in Chennai, voting for which will take place in five days.
