It is alleged that that Chota Rajan himself courted arrest and preferred the safety and security of Indian jails to his vulnerable stay in foreign countries haunted by Dawood’s criminal gangs.A former Home Secretary RK Singh himself confirmed what is otherwise a groundless speculation that Chota Rajan entered into a deal with the Indian Intelligence agencies to permit him to visit Dubai on a fake identity and take on Dawood Ibrahim. Should the Indian government treat him as a ‘guest’ in the same way as Pakistan is treating Dawood as its ‘honoured guest’? Shouldn’t the rule of law be allowed to take its course? The former Home Secretary also allegedly confirmed that the local police helped Chota Rajan escape from the Bangkok hospital.
Aren’t the Indian investigative agencies under illusions to think that a much-wanted hardcore criminal like Rajan with 70 cases in Mumbai,20 murder cases and charges under the MCOCA and the Arms Act would help them hunt down Dawood , build a solid case against Pakistan and corner Islamabad over its state-sponsored terrorist activities in India through anti-Indian mafia lords like Dawood Ibrahim ? Most shocking is the alleged comment of Chota Rajan that he has been ’a Hindu Don ‘ out to avenge Mumbai Blasts 1993. Isn’t he just trying to endear himself to the fringe elements and garner support and sympathy from the masses?
