​Kalaburagi: Twenty thousand vacant posts in Hyderabad Karnataka would be filled soon, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said here on Saturday.

Speaking after inaugurating Jayadev cardiology hospital and research centre, Kalaburagi unit, Siddaramaiah said that there were 30,000 posts vacant of which 10,000 posts have already been filled. The rest will be filled soon, he added.

For completing Kalaburagi airport, Rs 112 crore will be given. “We need 48 acres of land and land acquisition process is on to complete this project,” he said.

The government has accorded Rs 800 crore in the first year, Rs 1,000 crore in the second year, Rs 800 crore in third year to Hyderabad Karnataka Regional Development Board.

Siddaramaiah alleged that Centre was being indifferent towards the state. He said he had asked the Centre to release Rs 1,416 crore for drought relief but only Rs 720 crore was released under NDRF. “We will approach the Centre asking to release more funds,” Opposition leader in Parliament Mallikarjun Kharge said.
