Woman sets drunk husband on fire in Odisha

A woman allegedly burnt her husband to death at their house in Jaipur district on Sunday night.

The man, identified as Subash Singh who was a driver by profession allegedly misbehaved with their elder daughter after coming home drunk. He beat her up when his daughter opposed his behaviour.

According to the police, Subash Singh's wife and the other daughter came to the rescue of the girl but he beat them up too.

However, the wife and children caught hold of Subhash and tied him up. His wife then doused him with kerosene and set him on fire.

While he was taken to a hospital in Cuttack after suffering severe burn injuries, Subhash succumbed to death on Monday.

Police arrested Subash's wife on Wednesday.
