The accused, Mohd Vakil, was arrested on July 14, on the basis of a tip-off, they said.

A trap was laid near Dilip Bhawan in outer Delhi's Baprola village to nab him.

After Vakil was seen driving a black Eeco van, the police stopped the vehicle using barricades, but he tried to escape from the spot, police said.

During checking of the vehicle, a sack full of marijuana was found on the front seat of the vehicle, they said.

During interrogation, he revealed that he had been indulging in drug peddling for past many years and used to take marijuana from one Roshan, a resident of Bihar, and sell it in retail to various clients.
