Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the government was giving much priority to police department for the maintenance of law and order in the State. The government has been releasing funds for purchasing stationary and vehicles and for constructions along with implementing welfare schemes.

Karimnagar: Investments from other regions can be expected when law and order is maintained strictly along with security assurance to the investors, Finance Minister Eatala Rajendar said. He launched 40 Blue Colts vehicles under the Commissionerate limits at Police Parade Grounds here on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the government was giving much priority to police department for the maintenance of law and order in the State. The government has been releasing funds for purchasing stationary and vehicles and for constructions along with implementing welfare schemes.

Various developmental works at a cost of Rs 500 crores are in progress in the district. All the officials must strive hard coordinating with each other to place the district in number one position, he suggested.

In-charge DIG of Karimnagar C Ravi Verma said that the law and order in Karimnagar district is under control and satisfactory but to strengthen security further in the district, Blue Colts Patrolling force were being introduced to keep check on crime and to prevent anti-social activities.

Speaking on the occasion, Police Commissioner V B Kamalasan Reddy said that the Blue Colts teams could reach the spot within 10 minutes after they receive complaint from people for taking immediate actions.

Vehicles are provided with GPRS system along with camera and a torch light and is integrated to Command control room of Commissionerate for continuous supervision.

Telangana State Cultural Department Chairman Rasmai Balakishan, MLAs Gangula Kamalakar and Bodiga Shoba, ZP Chairperson Tula Uma, District Collector Sarfaraz Ahmed, City Mayor Ravinder Singh, Deputy Mayor G Ramesh, MPP V Ramesh and Corporator Kamaljith Kau were present along with the ACP’s J Rama Rao, M Ravindar Reddy and C Prabhakar.
