Nirmal: Residents of Mategaon, Hampoli and Borigaon villages of Bhainsa Mandal in Nirmal district are still worried about their road conditions.The roads including Mategaon to Hampoli and Hampoli to Borigaon are in bad shape. Deep pits and pot holes on the roads, especially in the rural areas are leading to many accidents. Some of the ditches on the roads are even upto 5 to 10 inches deep.

People scare of make journey by Autos and Jeeps overloaded with passenger on such a pitiful roads. People of the villages have umpteen times put proposals to the officials and public representatives for three years but in vain.

Villagers alleged that the blatant corruption by contractors who use very poor material led to early depletion of the roads. They use substandard material. Speaking to The Hans India here on Friday, Chandrakanth, retired army officer of Borigaon village said, “We feel very difficult to go to a hospital, particularly in the night time due to poor condition of roads, we have been confronting this problems for three years.

Despite repeated appeals, even minor repair works remain unattended,” he lamented. Another resident Balaji of Hampoli village said “Though we have given a representation to local MLA G Vittal Reddy, work has not been done. Officials and public representatives should take immediate action on this issue and respond to the problem as early an possible.”

Hopes of solving the problems rised after bifirgration of district will be shattered if situation remains static. The district administration should act swiftly to respond the problem.
