Warangal: City Congress working president Rajanala Srihari demanded the State government extend support to the family of Telangana Gandhi late Bhupathi Krishna Murthy.
The Congress leader said when Telangana ideologue Bhupathi Krishna Murthy, died two years ago, the TRS government has made several promises like offering financial support to his family, installing his statue in the city and the like.
Two years passed but the promises were not fulfilled, Srihari lamented speaking to press persons after offering floral respected to a portrait of the Telangana ideologue in Warangal on Wednesday marking his second death anniversary.
‘Bhupathi Krishna Murthy dedicated his entire life for the cause of separate Telangana and in doing so lost his properties as well. Hence the State government should support his family financially,’ the Congress leader demanded.
Krishna Murthy family members Shyam Sunder, Vasundhara Purnachander, Srilatha, freedom fighters P Veeraswamy, G Rajaiah, Gopala Krishna Murthy, and other were present.
