Prasanthi Nilayam: Following the spiritual austerities of the holy Mahashivarathri festival, the Sai Kulwanth hall stood witness to yet another outpouring of Love and gratitude offered at the divine lotus feet of our beloved Bhagwan. The final year students of the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, Brindavan Campus presented a cultural program entitled 'Shukrana' (which is the Urdu expression for gratitude).
The program was interspersed with songs and experiences of students with their Divine Master. The students also presented two skits, one highlighting the importance of assimilation of the values as taught by the Master, and the other, based on a real life experience, that emphasized on the lessons learnt by the student beyond the curriculum that aid him in his life. A spiritual current permeated the entire audience as the students poured out their emotion to their master. the presentation reinstated their faith as astounding revelations were made by the students. these incidents that had been taken from the personal lives of the students, were the framework on which this offering of gratitude were made. The presentations also included narrations and poetry that could appeal to audiences of various tongues.
The evening session concluded with bhajans and Mangala Aarti.
Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning (SSSIHL), with its headquarters in Prasanthi Nilayam (Andhra Pradesh) in India, is a visible manifestation of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s vision of education for human transformation. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) currently ranks SSSIHL amongst the top ten universities in India.
The university is totally nonprofit and provides free education for all students. It is a direct manifestation of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s vision for humanity through values-based integral education. The environment in the university is similar to the ancient Indian ‘gurukula’ system of education, in a modern context. Equal importance is given to both academics and the development of a student’s character at all Sai educational institutions.
