Rashmika in U-14 title round

Hyderabad: Punjab girl, Sarah Dev is in for a hat-trick of titles at the AITA Championship Series tennis tournament, being organised by the Punjab State Lawn Tennis Association, at the Maharaja Ranjit Singh Tennis Complex in Amritsar. She notched up the Under-12 girls doubles title and entered the title clashes of the Under-12 and 14 singles with authoritative wins in the semifinals on Thursday, according to information received here.

Meanwhile, Hyderabad girl, Shrivalli Rashmika lost in the Under-12 singles semifinal clash but made the title round in the Under-14 category. She showed glimpses of terrific form while battling her way from 0-5 in the first set to win the next six games and 11-9 in the tie-breaker against Alisha Menon from Punjab. She lost the second set but took the decider with a 6-4 verdict.
