Apple Releases OS X 10.9.2 For Previous OS Versions

Washington: Apple has reportedly released OS X 10.9.2 for systems running OS X Mavericks and previous versions, Lion and Mountain Lion.
The latest version of Mac OS aims to fix security bugs and adds new features to FaceTime and iMessage in OS X Mavericks.

According to Cnet, the updated version addresses security bugs, including the recent SSL/TSL vulnerability that could allow an attacker to intercept secure connection data on a local network.
The OS X 10.9.2 update allows users to make and receive FaceTime audio calls, use call waiting for FaceTime, and also block incoming messages from individual iMessage senders.
The update also addresses the recent inability of Mail to continually connect to some service providers, and improves some networking features of SMB2 and VPN.
The report said that the 10.9.2 update is available through Apple's Software Update service, and it is also downloadable in delta and combo form, along with the other security updates on Apple's support downloads Web site.
