Samsung to launch its 2016 flagship Galaxy S7 on February 21

Samsung has announced the latest ‘Unpacked’ event where it will unveil the next Galaxy smartphone. The company is holding its unpacked event a day ahead of official start to Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

Samsung’s ‘The Next Galaxy’ event is happening on February 21 at 19 CET which translates to 11.30 PM IST. Samsung has put a teaser video which shows a cube with lighted edges to form No. 7 clearly revealing the seventh S-series galaxy in line to launch.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 is likely to retain the design of Galaxy S6 and S6 edge but will come with microSD card slot and USB Type-C port. This time however Samsung will bring Apple’s force touch display in the name of pressure-sensitive screen.

Samsung might also launch the edge variant in different screen sizes. Samsung might also cosy up with Qualcomm this year by offering S7 with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 SoC instead of its own Exynos chipset.
