All you need to know about OnePlus 6T
OnePlus 6T is the second smartphone of the year of this five-year-old tech company. It has with a small notch and chin, available at three variants priced at Rs Rs 37,999, Rs 40,999 and Rs 44,999.
For the first time, OnePlus has tied up with a US carrier for its device -- T-Mobile. Other than T-Mobile, the smartphone is also available on Verizon network.
It is also launched in India. The smartphone to go on sale in India from November 1. OnePlus 6T is already available for pre-booking on Amazon India's website. There are also several offers available on pre-booking the device, including an offer Rs 2,000 instant cashback.
No headphone jack
As already confirmed by the company's co-founder Carl Pei, OnePlus 6T comes sans headphone jack. According to Pei, "By removing the jack we've freed up more space, allowing us to put more new technology into the product."
Base variant storage -128GB
Storage
The firm has increased the base storage from 64GB to 128GB. The smartphone comes in three options based on RAM and storage capacity: 6GB/128GB, 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB.
In-display fingerprint sensor
One of the key highlights of the device is the in-display fingerprint sensor, which OnePlus calls 'Screen Unlock'. The screen 'lights up' every time a user clicks on the fingerprint sensor. This feature can also work be customized as app shortcut.
The notch in smaller size
The notch is smaller compared to its predecessor. The display size has been increased to 6.41-inch from OnePlus 6's 6.28-inch. OnePlus 6T's OLED has a resolution of 2340x1080 (402ppi) and 19.5:9 aspect ratio.
Camera
OnePlus 6T has exactly same camera specifications as OnePlus 6. It comes with a dual-camera setup with 16MP and 20MP sensors. The company claims to have added a new Nightscape feature.
Runs on Android 9.0 Pie out-of-the-box
OnePlus is the only smartphone maker, besides Google, that has rolled out Android 9.0 Pie update to its existing smartphones. The company publicly rolled out Android 9.0 Pie update for its flagship OnePlus 6 smartphone users in India back in September.
Battery Life
OnePlus 6T offers 23% better battery life than OnePlus 6. The smartphone packs 3,700mAh battery, whereas the OnePlus 6 has 3,300mAh battery capacity.
Colours Available
As of now, OnePlus 6T will be sold in Mirror Black and Midnight (matte) Black colour options. As always, we can expect more colour additions in the coming months.
