TDP-BJP Ties Snapped In Telangana. When the Telugu Desam joined hands with BJP little did they know that they can survive on life support for too long. When the Telugu Desam joined hands with BJP little did they know that they can survive on life support for too long. If a report doing the rounds is anything to go by, then BJP wants to go alone in the state post elections and do not want anything to do with the TDP.

In a big blow to the party chief and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, BJP president of Telangana, G Kishan Reddy told a leading English daily that BJP will survive on its own merits and did not need TDP alliance for its growth.

Kishan Reddy added that BJP was under the impression that the Telugu Desam was a pro-Telangana party. He also lamented that BJP lost a few seats in the state as people saw the party as anti-Telangana.

BJP national president Amit Shah is all set to kick-start his tours which will began with Telangana in August 21.

Kishan Reddy said that the party will promote Narendra Modi government's achievments and at the same time point out the failures of the TRS government.

Kishan slammed Telangana Chief Minister Chandrashekar Rao saying KCR must stop politicising the issue of governor getting special powers in matters of law and order in Hyderabad.

The state BJP president also spit venom at the TRS government for being ungrateful. He said, "The government wants us to get schemes sanctioned from the Centre. It is not our job. It's the responsibility of the ruling party to do so."

Kishan Reddy signed off saying Telugu Desam got power in Seemandhra only because of the BJP alliance.
