TS BJP calls KCR Tughlaq

Hyderabad: The Telangana State BJP has decided to confront the TRS government and oppose all its “political gimmicks”.

At a press conference on Monday, the party deputy leader in Assembly NVSS Prabhakar said that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was behaving like “Tughlaq”. Referring to the objections TS government was raising against the powers of the Governor, he said KCR did not raise any objection to the contents of the Bill when it was introduced in the Parliament. He did not move any amendments and on the other hand he went and congratulated the UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and the then BJP president Rajnath Singh.

KCR who has not been able to instill confidence among people in his own constituency, where the farmer suicides were on the increase, was trying to raise political controversies and buy time, he said.

Prabhakar added if there were any controversies or difference of opinion between the two States, they should be sorted out through negotiations. If they still failed to find an amicable solution, they could approach the Centre for mediation, but instead of adopting such an attitude KCR was calling the Prime Minister a fascist and has been indulging in making statements that would further widen the differences between the two Telugu-speaking States.

He said it was clear that KCR was trying to divert the attention of the people from his failures and such exercises. Referring to the mega household survey to be taken up on August 19, Prabhakar said such surveys were taken up during Hitler and Tughlaq regimes.

“There are many other ways to weed out bogus ration cards if the government wants. There are Aadhar cards, census details etc which can be used for deciding as to who the real beneficiaries of welfare programmes are,” he added.
