Industries accused of denying jobs to locals, Telugu Desam Party Zaheerabad constituency in-charge Y Narotham alleged here on Tuesday that industries in the town were denying jobs to local youth, employing outsiders as contract labours.

Speaking to the media, Narotham held out a warning that such attitude of industries would not be tolerated. He accused the previous Congress government of promising jobs to locals before the establishment of industries. Once they were started the units were employing outsiders.
The TDP leader wanted the Telangana government while making efforts to bring industries should ponder whether they would benefit locals or outsiders would be employed. He hailed the decision of Mahindra and Mahindra Company to set up a tractor unit here with Rs 300 crore investment while stressing that industries should employ only local persons. If this was not done the people should strongly oppose location of industries.
