The one-day power holiday in TS is in vogue since the bifurcation. Supply of power is from domestic feeders. Thus, it is creating troubles for the small, medium industries and the commercial sector. Running malls on backup power increases operational costs by 30 to 40 percent, which adversely affects commercial establishments. In addition to the one-day power holiday, the domestic sector is being weighed down by six-hour power cuts on a daily basis.
