Elaborate arrangements are being made for the birth centenary celebrations of people’s poet Kaloji Narayana Rao. The celebrations will be organised on September 9, according to District Collector G Kishan.
Warangal: Elaborate arrangements are being made for the birth centenary celebrations of people’s poet Kaloji Narayana Rao. The celebrations will be organised on September 9, according to District Collector G Kishan.
The Collector said Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao would be attending the Kaloji birth anniversary celebrations which the state government is conducting officially. The Chief Minister would lay foundation stone for Kaloji Auditorium at Hayagreeva Chary Grounds on the day.
Later, he would attend the centenary celebrations ceremony to be held at National Institute of Technology auditorium in Kazipet. It is not yet known whether the Chief Minister would attend any other programme or would confine to Kaloji birth anniversary celebrations on the day of his visit here. The CMs’ visit is the maiden one to the district after he assumed the post, in view of which the district administration has been gearing up to make grand arrangements. Meanwhile, Director of Culture and Tourism Rallabandi Kavita Prasad arrived here on Wednesday to review the arrangements being made for the event.
He held a meeting with the Collector. Both the officials have discussed about the arrangements and finalized route map and event schedule for the celebrations.
He later visited the NIT auditorium, and Hayagreeva Chary Grounds where the foundation stone would be laid. Speaking on the occasion, Kavita Prasad said that the newly built auditorium would be having state-of-the-art facilities and could serve as a cultural centre in the district of Warangal.
