Warangal: The state government has been making efforts to establish 100-bed hospital in each Assembly constituency, informed the Deputy Chief Minister and Health Minister Dr T Rajaiah.

The Deputy Chief Minister inaugurated a Primary Health Centre (PHC) at Thatikonda village that falls in Station Ghanpur Assembly segment on Thursday. He said that the PHC was the first to be inaugurated in new state of Telangana.

Addressing the gathering, Dr Rajaiah said that the TRS government has also been planning to build a 30-bed hospital in each mandal headquarters in the state in order to provide quality medical services to the rural people. He said that appointment of doctors for the newly built PHC would soon be made and all required medicines would be available for the use of villagers who have been facing difficulty in availing medical services.

He advised the villagers to avail maternity services at the PHC and encourage institutional deliveries. Those living in faraway places should make use of 108 emergency ambulance services to ensure safety of the patients.

The state government has been committed to improving facilities at all the PHCs, area hospitals and district hospitals across Telangana and the required funds for the purpose were also made available, he said. Dr Rajaiah has urged the public to support the government in building ‘Golden Telangana’, for which Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has been making all out efforts. The Telangana state would witness a golden era under CM’s rule, he added.

Zilla Parishad Chairperson G Padma, health department director P Sambasiva Rao, additional Joint Collector Krishna Reddy, MPP Jaganmohan Reddy, ZPTC Swamy Naik and others were present. Later in the day Rajaiah has inaugurated a water purification plant built at Janakipuram in Dharmasagar mandal with the financial assistance of the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development.
