Hyderabad: The giant, 60-feet Khairatabad Ganesh Idol was immersed amidst fanfare on Tuesday evening. Thousands of devotees flocked NTR Marg near Hussain Sagar to witness the grand spectacle. Utsav Samithi members performed rituals before the idol was lowered into the water slowly by a huge crane between 6.30 and 7 pm.
