Bhongir (Nalgonda): Nizamabad MP K Kavitha on Wednesday participated in the ‘Bathukamma’ celebrations held at Bhongir town in Nalgonda district. She was the chief guest at the rally of 5,000 women and artisans from government college ground to Laxminarayan temple.
She inaugurated the festival on a grand note. Earlier she released a book on songs of Bathukamma.
Education Minister Jagadiswar Reddy, MP Bura Narsiah Gowd, MLC Karne Prabhakar, Nethi Vidyasagar Rao, district collectore Chiranjeevulu, SP Prabhakar Rao, Aleru MLA Sunita and other were present at the event. Bhongir MLA Sashidhar Reddy presided over the function.
