Bikethon for save girl child campaign

BIKETHON – Save the girl child campaign was organized by the State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (SCPCR) and THARUNI, NGO and supported by the Bikers Clubs and whole lot of students and IT Professionals.

Route: Stated at Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet – Paradise – Bowenpally – Suchitra – Kompally Cross Road – Dulapally – Ended at AP Forest Academy, Dulapally

The Drive was organized in connection with the International Girl Child Day – 11th October to highlight the importance of the Girl Child and to improve the Child Sex Ratio in the State.

Mrs. Kavitha Kalvakuntla, Member of Parliament has inaugurated the Bikethon. Mr. A.K. Khan, IPS, DG ACB has administered pledge by the participants. Mrs. Kavitha has promised on behalf of the government, that she will work towards the increase of Sex Ratio in the state. About 300 Bikers participated very enthusiastically all along the 20kms stretch between HPS, Begumpet and AP Forest Academy, Dulapally raising slogan “NO GIRL – NO WORLD” to protect the girl child.

Mr. Raghuveer, IFS, Director-Forest Academy; Mrs. Padmaja, IPS, SP-Crime; Mrs. Kaur, Principal-HPS have took part as guests.

Members of SCPCR & Tharuni Team requested the Citizens of Hyderabad to help in creating Awareness about the importance of Girl Child.
