Speaking on the occasion, the District Collector has directed the heads of government departments to take appropriate action for resolving complaints after thorough scrutiny of the applications. “Officials concerned of various departments should attend weekly grievance day meetings at divisional-level,” he added. He asked the departmental heads to seek explanation if any official fails to attend grievance day meetings.

District Collector stated that a team formed by Joint Director of Agriculture should strive to resolve issues related to crop loans on regular basis. He gave instructions to DRDA project director to register details of applications related to pensions received in grievance day meetings. “An officer should be entrusted with responsibility to register details of pension applications,” he added. He informed officials to sanction pension for all eligible persons. He said that better measures would be taken to resolve issues related to pensions after reviewing with officials through video conference.

Ilambarithi told officials to ensure that people should submit applications related to revenue matters at grievance day meeting held on every Monday at Tahsildar’s office. “If the issues are not resolved at Tahsildar level then only people should submit their applications at district-level,” he said. “Officials should pass on information through daily newspapers about their availability in the office so that people can know at what time officials are available on that day.

District Collector has expressed displeasure over reply to applications received during weekly grievance day meetings. “So far, 27 heads of the departments have responded to applications and there was no reply from 55 departments on pending applications. He made it clear to officials to respond on pending applications and upload details through online by Saturday so as to what measures they have taken. Additional Joint Collector Babu Rao, ZP chief executive officer Jayaprakash Narayan and other officials were present.
