Hyderabad: The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) has decided to conduct a seminar on Telangana’s future on Tuesday, the birthday of Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
The TPCC Intellectual Cell has invited all political parties, JACs and individuals, who had contributed in one way or the other in carving out the State.
TPCC Intellectual Cell Chairman A Shyam Mohan told reporters here on Sunday that the workshop would be on the topic of ‘Telangana: Vision for Democratic and Inclusive Growth’.
The workshop will commence at 4 pm on December 9 at the Exhibition Grounds Hall, Nampally. According to Shyam Mohan, all participants are free to air their views on the ways and means of developing Telangana.
In a common invitation sent to all political parties on Sunday, the TPCC hoped that their ‘participation will help build a new Telangana, in a democratic atmosphere’. TPCC chief spokesperson Dasoju Sravan said the party leaders had personally got in touch with the leaders of other parties to extend invitation to them.
According to Addanki Dayakar, TPCC spokesperson, the workshop is the first step in opening the eyes of ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) to the reality that the new State was achieved collectively and not by the TRS alone.
