Promises to construct Brahmana Parishad Bhavan in Hyderabad at a cost of 10 crore
Warangal: No one can cause harm to ‘Haindava Dharma’, asserted Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. “The traditions of Hindu religion are deeply rooted in the society and no one is capable of harming it”, he said addressing a large number of delegates at the Telangana Archaka Samakhya state conference held at Kakatiya Degree College Grounds in Hanamkonda on Friday.
Often it was being said the Hindu Dharma was facing danger but there was no such danger as Hindu belief system was very strong, he said. The Chief Minister promised to build ‘Brahmana Parishad Bhavan’ exclusively for Brahmin community in Hyderabad at a cost of Rs 10 crore.
He assured to enhance monthly maintenance allowance from Rs 2,500 to Rs 6,000 for Doopa Deepa Naidyam (DDN) Temples from March onwards in accordance with the promise made during last elections. Chandrashekar Rao said, “I have many plans for the welfare of archakas and development of temples and by February end you will receive a good news.”
He urged the archaka community to uphold the traditions, customs and spread faith and spirituality among the societal members. “The spiritual wealth is much important than material wealth. If spiritual wealth is lost the material wealth has no significance,’ Chandrashekar Rao averred. He found fault over the previous governments exercising control over the temples. He said except undue interference in the affairs of the temples, the governments did nothing for their wellbeing.
Steps to make exclusive budgetary allocations to Endowments Department would be initiated instead of taking money from the department. Financial grants to Vedic Schools in the state would also be provided, he said.
The Chief Minister lauded the efforts being made by Sri Tridandi Srimannarayana Ramanuja Chinna Jeeyar Swamy in spreading Hindu faith across the globe. ‘Since long I have been drawing inspiration from Chinna Jeeyar Swamy,” he said. In his address, Chinna Jeeyar Swamy expressed concern over the growing trend of turning the religious places as centres of pleasure in the name of tourism promotion.
“The sanctity of temples should be protected as temples are centres of spirituality”, he said. He wanted archakas to uphold Hindu customs by maintaining proper attire, conduct and following the tradition. He appealed to the Chief Minister to protect the age-old traditions and address the problems of archakas.
Deputy Chief Minister Dr. T Rajaiah, Parliamentary Secretary D Vinay Bhasker, MP K Srihari, Government Advisor KV Ramana Chary, Samakhya President Gangu Upendra Sharma, members GVS Srinivasa Chary, I Satyamohan, Vedic scholar Gangu Manikanta Sharma, Brahmina Samakya leader PV Madanmohan and others were present.
