Give priority to safety in SCCL

Kothagudem: The valedictory function of the 48th Defence Week celebrations was held at the Central Workshop in the Singareni Collieries here on Saturday. A three-member corporate safety inspection team, headed by General Manager (I and M) P Ravichandra inspected the safety measures at the site.

Addressing the gathering at the Central Workshop , he said the defence staff should give priority to safety in the collieries. Workshop General Manager (I and M) G Venkatesh said discharging one’s responsibilities relating to defence carefully was very important both for employees and the organisation. He advised the staff not be sloppy while handling defence works. Earlier, Ravinchandra hoisted the defence flag.

Analytical Superintendent Rajinikanth administered a defence pledge to the employees. As part of the Defence Week elebrations, prizes were distributed to winners of quiz competition held on Friday. While turner PULN Raju got the first prize, fitter B Srinivas Rao won the second and fitter P Janardhan received the third prize. Junior Officer (Office Administration ) KRSV Uma Maheshwar was the compere.

Central Workshop Deputy General Managers Kishore Ganga, T Sridhar, Adinarayana Murthy, B Radhakrishna Murthy, M G Prasad and others were present. The Defence Committee, the Works Committee and the First Aid Committee of the Central Workshop played a key role in making defence week celebrations a grand success.
