TRS MLC candidates to be declared today
The TRS aspirants will have to wait for another day before the suspense on the candidates for the two Graduate Constituencies of Khammam-Warangal-Nalgonda and Mahabubnagar-Ranga Reddy-Hyderabad gets cleared.
Hyderabad: The TRS aspirants will have to wait for another day before the suspense on the candidates for the two Graduate Constituencies of Khammam-Warangal-Nalgonda and Mahabubnagar-Ranga Reddy-Hyderabad gets cleared.
Party president K Chandrashekar Rao on Friday indicated that he was likely to announce the names on of the candidates on Saturday. According to party sources, the candidature of G Deviprasad has been confirmed for Mahabubnagar-Ranga Reddy-Hyderabad seat. He even applied for voluntary retirement on Thursday.
However, no consensus has been achieved on party nominee for the other graduate constituency. Nalgonda district president Bandi Narender Reddy, and T Ravinder Rao and Marri Yadava Reddy (from Warangal) are believed to be in race. With district Ministers strongly pitching for tickets, the battle has now turned to be between Nalgonda and Warangal. Both district units are impressing upon party supremo to give preference.
It is in this context no consensus was achieved and Chandrashekar Rao decided to finalize names on Saturday.
