Collector warns erring govt doctors

Karimnagar: A warning has been issued to all the government doctors in the district by Collector Neethu Kumari Prasad.

In a statement here on Sunday, she said that action would be taken against the government doctors if they were irresponsible and negligent in giving treatment to the patients. The warning has been issued in connection with an incident that took place in Gambiraopet when Dr Supriya had given treatment to a pregnant woman in a careless manner. The infant died in the womb during the treatment. Dr Supriya would be given a show cause notice, said the Collector.

She also said that government doctors must work with great responsibility.
