Permission must for meetings
C V Anand, Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad, has ordered, in the interest of maintaining public peace and tranquility particularly in view of the forthcoming Biennial Elections in the Telangana State Legislative Council in respect of Graduates constituencies, that prior permission from the police department is necessary to organise or conduct any meeting, procession or rallies etc., within the Cyberabad area.

Hyderabad: C V Anand, Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad, has ordered, in the interest of maintaining public peace and tranquility particularly in view of the forthcoming Biennial Elections in the Telangana State Legislative Council in respect of Graduates constituencies, that prior permission from the police department is necessary to organise or conduct any meeting, procession or rallies etc., within the Cyberabad area.
The Commissioner said, in a press note on Friday, that the Zonal Deputy Commissioner of Police in whose jurisdiction the proposed meeting, processions, padayatras or rallies, loud speakers and mobile campaign would take place, may grant permission to organise or conduct such event.
The organizers, political parties and contesting candidates are advised to apply for permission in written to the concerned Zonal Deputy Commissioner of Police well in advance so as to enable them to prepare bandobust plan for smooth conduct of such events. They are also requested to co-operate with the Cyberabad Police in ensuing strict compliance of the instructions of the EC.
