Adilabad: Farmers were in tears as unseasonal rains lashed the district on Sunday damaging maize, chilli, mango and papaya plants in the mandals of Luxettipet, Dandepally and Jannaram. In Nirmal division, maize and sesame crops were destroyed in several hectares in Mudhole, Lokeshwaram, Dilawarpur and Sarangapur mandals. Mango growers have suffered heavy loss with rains destroying mangoes which are in flowering or ten.
