The incident sent shockwaves in the headquarters as top police officials were present when the gun misfired. It is a high security zone. A group of 20 members of Special party police, who went for combing operation last week into the forest area of East division, came to the conference hall of police headquarters. When they were cleaning their self-loading rifles (SLR) and other weapons, a gun went off. But none was injured in the incident.
