Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Thursday directed officials to release Rs 350 crore to TRANSCO to procure additional power this summer. Rao reviewed power situation in the state with CMD TS GENCO & TS TRANSCO D Prabhakar Rao in the Secretariat on Thursday. He instructed CMD to ensure uninterrupted power supply to consumers in ten districts. For this purpose, power has to be procured from Kayamkulam (Kerala) and other sources.

Rao reviewed power situation in the state with CMD TS GENCO & TS TRANSCO D Prabhakar Rao in the Secretariat on Thursday. He instructed CMD to ensure uninterrupted power supply to consumers in ten districts. For this purpose, power has to be procured from Kayamkulam (Kerala) and other sources. In response, Prabhakar Rao told the Chief Minister that he has negotiated with the power supply sources for procuring required power.
