Hyderabad : Social activist Swami Agnivesh on Sunday demanded that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao fulfill the promise of imposing total liquor prohibition in Telangana State.Addressing a press conference here, Agnivesh claimed that KCR, during the statehood movement, had promised to make Telangana a liquor-free State. However, he said that promise was not yet fulfilled.
He said that liquor, drugs, Gutka and harmful products were not only ruining the people's health, but also hurting their economy. He announced that he would take out a rally to the residence of the Chief Minister to press for his demand. APSA Director S Srinivas Reddy, POW President Sandhya and representatives of several NGOs were also present.
