Asian Institute of Gastroenterology, Chairman, Dr D Nageshwar Reddy has been conferred with the Hong Kong’s highest medical award at ceremony held at Hong Kong Convention Centre, Hong Kong recently. Reddy was also made an honorary fellow of the Hong Kong Society of Gastroenterology.

Hyderabad: Asian Institute of Gastroenterology, Chairman, Dr D Nageshwar Reddy has been conferred with the Hong Kong’s highest medical award at ceremony held at Hong Kong Convention Centre, Hong Kong recently. Reddy was also made an honorary fellow of the Hong Kong Society of Gastroenterology. Only 12 doctors from all over the world over the last 40 years have been given this award which includes eminent doctors like Dr Barry Marshall from Australia (Nobel Prize Winner, 2005)

The chairman of the Asian Institute of Gastroenterology was presented with the award and fellowship for his contribution to the field of endoscopic surgery. During the event, president of Hong Kong Society of Gastroenterology Prof. Lao Wai Cheung stated that several of Reddy’s innovations and inventions in endoscopy helped patients as well as doctors in reducing the cost and also in improving quality of treatment throughout the world.
