Karimnagar: Senior Congress leader and former MP, Ponnam Prabhakar blamed the Telangana Rashtra Samiti leadership for blowing up huge sums of money for their party’s plenary to be held on April 24 and termed it as a 5-star event and demanded TRS leadership to disclose the names of persons who donated funds for this lavish spectacle.

Speaking to reporters, at R & B guest house, here on Tuesday, Prabhakar asked where was the need for district MLAs Gangula Kamalakar, Manohar Reddy and K Vidyasagar Rao, to attend Israel agricultural exhibition, when their Chief Minister himself was a farming exponent and growing variety of crops in his farm house.

Taking a dig at State government’s prestigious schemes such as Mission Kakatiya and Water Grid, former MP opined that government was neglecting all other developmental schemes by giving too much publicity just to these two programmes. “Didn’t previous governments supply water to public” he wondered. He said that speculations are rife that Nizamabad MP and daughter of the CM, Kavitha, reportedly asked her father to provide a berth for her in his cabinet in the women’s quota but KCR turned it down and said that all ministers in his cabinet are women since they are incapable to take decisions.

TRS government was showing step-motherly treatment towards public representatives belonging to other political parities by allocating funds only to its own party leaders, he fumed and found fault with the TRS for encouraging defections from other parties by luring them with lucrative offers.
