CPI Telangana State Council secretary Chada Venkat Reddy extended his solidarity to the victims of Agri Gold Company. There were allegations that Agri Gold company victims were not only from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh but also from other states like Odisha, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. The company had collected deposits to the tune of Rs7,000 crores and deceived the customers.

Thousands of middle class and poor people invested in the company through its agents thinking that their money will be `doubled’ easily but they didn’t receive the assured amount, so are in dire straits and are forced staging dharnas to recover their hard-earned money.

The victims are urging the two State governments-TS and AP- to initiate steps and seize the assets of Agri Gold company, since it failed to respond to the grievances of customers and do justice to them. It may be recalled that investors and those who sold their plots in Agri Gold staged a mammoth dharna at its office in Vijayawada on Monday.
