Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has left by a special flight to national capital on Wednesday evening. He is scheduled to meet Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar regarding shifting of Secunderabad Cantonment and setting up of a new Sainik School in Warangal. He is also expected to meet Union Ministers Rajnath Singh and Venkaiah Naidu regarding pendency of few provisions of AP Reorganisation Act, Smart Cities and Swachh Bharat programmes.

Telangana government is trying to impress upon the Centre to shift the present Secunderabad Cantonment to an alternative location with government ready to provide land. People have been facing difficulties while travelling in and out of Cantonment area due to extension of city limits over the areas. Deputy CM Kadiyam Srihari, KCR’s political secretary Subhash Reddy and a few Warangal leaders are accompanying KCR during his Delhi visit.
