The Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari along with MLAs D Vinay Bhasker and A Ramesh, District Collector V Karuna, DIG B Malla Reddy and Municipal Commissioner Sarfaraz Ahmed spruced up the streets at Teachers’ Colony in Hanamkonda.The Dy CM administered an oath on maintaining cleanliness.

Warangal: As part of the State Formation Day celebrations, ‘Swachh Warangal’ programmes were organised in the district on Saturday. The Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari along with MLAs D Vinay Bhasker and A Ramesh, District Collector V Karuna, DIG B Malla Reddy and Municipal Commissioner Sarfaraz Ahmed spruced up the streets at Teachers’ Colony in Hanamkonda.The Dy CM administered an oath on maintaining cleanliness.


Speaking on the occasion, he informed that the area under the corporation was divided into 61 units and each unit was allotted to an official to coordinate the programme. After completion of the Formation Day celebrations, a week-long Swachh Warangal would be taken up. The local MLAs D Vinay Bhasker, A Ramesh, K Surekha and Ch Dharma Reddy would also be involved in the programme along with the people, he said.


“Previous governments used to remove encroachments that came up on government lands. But the TRS government has been giving rights to the persons living on government lands and also constructing houses for the landless poor.” On Friday 1.25 lakh pattas were issued to landless poor across the district. For Warangal, CM K Chandrashekar Rao granted 4000 two-bed room houses. In the next couple of days construction of houses would start.


About 1400 acre of lands worth Rs 10,000 crore was distributed to the poor, he added. Similarly, the superintendent of police Ambar Kishor Jha conducted Swachh Warangal programme at Charbowli area in Warangal. The TSNPDCL chairman and managing director K Venkatanarayana, directors B Venkateshwara Rao, B Narsinga Rao and G Sudharshan, senior officials Ravindranath, P Sandhya Rani and others have cleaned Prashanth Nagar and Sneha Nagar Colonies.
