Hyderabad: As the upper air cyclonic circulation over westcentral Bay of Bengal off Andhra Pradesh coast is persisting, thunderstorm with squall may occur at isolated places in Telangana on June 12, a forecast by the Met office said on Thursday. Rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in Telangana and Rayalaseema and at a few places in coastal Andhra Pradesh during the next 48 hours.

On June 14 and 15, rain or thundershowers will occur at many places in Telangana and coastal Andhra Pradesh and at a few places in Rayalaseema. According to Met department, in the last 24 hours, ending at 8.30 am on Thursday, isolated rainfall occurred in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. There was five cm of rain in Venkatagiri Kota of Chittoor district, three cm in Santhipuram and two cm in Kuppam, while Adilabad district received four cm of rain.

A number of stations in the Southern region recorded the highest maximum temperature of 41 degrees celsius. In Telangana the maximum temperatures markedly rose at few places. They were appreciably above normal at one or two places in the State. The highest maximum temperature of 41 degrees celsius was recorded in Adilabad and Ramagundam.

On Thursday the maximum temperatures markedly rose at many places in coastal Andhra Pradesh and appreciably rose at one or two places in Rayalaseema. They were appreciably above normal at one or two places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh and above normal at one or two places in Rayalaseema. The highest maximum temperature of 41 degrees celsius was recorded in Bapatla, Kavali, Nellore, Ongole and Vijayawada.
