Hyderabad: The SRR APEXE Educational Fair, jointly organised by The Hans India and HMTV, proved to be productive to both prospective students and the participating institutions on the concluding day.
Despite bad weather conditions, scores of students and parents turned up at the fair organised at the Kamma Sangham Hall, Ameerpet on Sunday. Various options were placed in front of intermediate students, apart from the streams of Engineering and Medicine. For the first time, the educational fair provided platform for the students interested in degree and CA, apart from animation and fashion designing courses.
While most of the aspirants were keenly interested in the Engineering stream, several students found this as an opportunity to know about various medical colleges, prospects of going abroad, B-Schools and MBA colleges. Parents and students, who were not sure about which college would suit them, made up their minds after visiting the two-day fair.
With the process of admissions being in the beginning stages, most of those who visited on the second day were seriously interested in choosing a college. “With colleges spreading across the city, the parents rarely had an opportunity to know more about the college in which their children would go.
With the admission process in its beginning stages, the parents had an opportunity to end their dilemma through this fair,” said T Satheesh Kumar, In-charge, Placements, Malla Reddy Group of Institutions. Students had wide range of options apart from the regular courses, like pharmacy, event management, jewellery making and fashion photography.
According to visitors, the unnecessary mobility and confusion over choosing the courses were effectively reduced. The professional approach in providing clear guidance to students was lauded. “This is a rare combination of various courses on a single platform. It helped us understand various scopes after intermediate,” said K Srinivas, a student.
