Ministers direct officials to compensate oustees. Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao and Finance Minister Eatala Rajender here on Wednesday directed the officials concerned to speed up the process of clearing the pending bills pertaining to Irrigation projects and make part payments for those displaced by the projects.

Hyderabad: Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao and Finance Minister Eatala Rajender here on Wednesday directed the officials concerned to speed up the process of clearing the pending bills pertaining to Irrigation projects and make part payments for those displaced by the projects.
At a high-level review meeting at Secretariat here, the Ministers discussed how to obviate the delay in paying compensation to those whose lands were acquired for projects. The officials agreed to make part payment to those displaced by projects.
The Ministers directed the officials to make available Rs 100 crore for Palamur-Rangareddy lift irrigation scheme. The Ministers said they would hold another round of meeting with the officials to ensure that additional fund to the tune of 142 core was released for Mission Kakatiya.
