Hyderabad: The Telangana Government Pensioners’ Association took a pledge, while paying homage to late Prof K Jayashankar on his birthday, to actively participate in the movement proposed to be launched by the TJAC against the Central government to protest against the continued injustices to Telangana State.

The association alleged that even one year after the formation of the new State, the Andhra rulers were creating hurdles in achieving ‘Sampoorna Telangana’ dreamt by Prof Jayashankar, particularly in matters like creation of new High Court and division of employees in a way to render justice to Telangana staff.

On the occasion, the association requested the State government to grant special increment to the pensioners and pay PRC arrears of nine months in cash immediately.
