As the Opposition criticized the TRS government’s redesigning of Pranahita-Chevella irrigation project and sanitation staff protest over salary hike, Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao slammed the Opposition and said that the Congress and TD leaders failed to provide water for over 60 years to irrigate crops.

Addressing a gathering in Husnaband Assembly constituency, the Chief Minister further inspected the Gandipalli and Gouravelli reservoirs. KCR reacted strongly to the objections leveled by the parties and said that the Congress and TD leaders are not aware of how to conceive the projects as worked as office attendants.

Adding further, he said that some leaders of these parties ripped off public money with the costs of many irrigation projects shot up manifold resulting in the projects not being completed. The state particularly Husnabad is facing shortage of water for drinking and agriculture due to the successive governments led by the Congress and TD envisaging many projects.

KCR on the sanitation staff strike said that few unions were intentionally protesting demanding minimum wages as the employees get wages from funds generated through taxation by a civic body.
